Wiblingen Abbey is a former Benedictine abbey south of Ulm in Baden-Württemberg, on the Upper Swabian Baroque Route. The counts Hartmann and Otto von Kirchberg founded it in 1093, and the first buildings were consecrated in 1099. The overhaul of the buildings began in 1714. Christian Wiedemann drafted the plans, and Johann Michael Fischer revised them from 1750. The library was completed in 1744. The church of St. Martin, an early Neoclassical example in southern Germany, was built from 1768 to 1798.
The east wing has a risalit modeled on Vienna's Imperial Court Library. The abbey was dissolved in 1806, and from 1848 it was used as infantry barracks.
Today the buildings house several medical faculty departments of the University of Ulm. The abbey church became a minor basilica in 1993, and an abbey museum opened in 2006.
