Schwarzenberg Palace is a Baroque palace in Vienna's third district, in front of Schwarzenbergplatz. Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt began construction in 1697 for Heinrich Franz von Mansfeld, who died during the work. Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach made alterations and finished it in 1728, and Anton Erhard Martinelli supervised the building.
Prince Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg bought the unfinished property in 1716 and had it completed. A riding school and an orangery were added in 1751. One of its largest features is the richly decorated Marmorgalerie, or marble gallery.
Parts of the palace operated as a five-star hotel until 2006. It served as James Bond's hotel in the 1987 film The Living Daylights, and it is now closed for refurbishment.
