Sant'Isidoro a Capo le Case stands on Via degli Artisti in the Ludovisi district of Rome. Construction began in 1622, after Pope Gregory XV canonized Isidore of Madrid and four other saints. The church was begun to a design by Antonio Felice Casoni, and Carlo Francesco Bizzaccheri designed the facade in 1704 and 1705. Spanish Discalced Franciscans arrived in 1622, and within two years Irish Franciscans led by Luke Wadding took over and founded a school that became the Pontifical Irish College.

Inside is a single nave in a Latin cross plan with a barrel vault and four side chapels. Bernini redesigned the Cappella Da Sylva, which holds his funerary monument to his son. Carlo Maratta painted the ceiling, and Andrea Sacchi painted the high altar.

From 1810 to 1820 the buildings housed the Nazarenes artists' colony. In 2017 it became the National Church of Ireland in Rome.
