Massa Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Massa, Tuscany, dedicated to Saint Cerbonius. It was formerly the conventual Church of St. Francis, reconstructed from 1660 to 1670, and it was declared the cathedral in 1822, when the Diocese of Massa was created. The earlier cathedral began as a pieve dedicated to Saint Peter, was enlarged in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and became a collegiate church in 1629.
That building collapsed in 1672, and Alessandro Bergamini designed its replacement. Duchess Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister, ordered it demolished in 1807. The Saint Peter dedication then moved to the Church of St. Francis.
It has a large marble high altar and paintings by Carlo Maratta and Luigi Garzi. The Malaspina family burial chapel, commissioned by Duke Alberico II, lies behind the south transept altar.
