Kanpur Central is a railway station in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, with entrances on the cantonment side and at Ghantaghar Crossing. It opened in 1930 and was formerly known as Cawnpore North Barracks. The style is described as Indo-Saracenic. The railway was electrified from Howrah in 1972 and to New Delhi on 5 August 1976.

The station has 10 platforms, with six more under construction, and 28 tracks. It serves seven lines, including the New Delhi to Howrah main line, and all passing trains stop here. It is ranked the third busiest station in India, after Howrah and New Delhi. It also ranks third in the world for the size of its interlocking route system.

It is part of the 50 World-Class Railway Stations program. Proposed improvements include a food plaza, a three-level underground car park and two escalators.
