Åbo Svenska Teater is a Finland-Swedish theatre at Eerikinkatu 13 in Turku, Finland. It is Finland's oldest theatre, and its building is the oldest still-functioning theatre house in Finland. It opened in 1839, when a local amateur society staged Gubben i Bergsbygden on January 21. An earlier theatre was destroyed in the Great Fire of Turku in 1827, which created the need for a new building.
Later in 1839 Ulrik Torsslow's company became the first professional company to use the theatre. Concerts by Johanna von Schoultz and Jenny Lind were held there in 1843. Before 1894 it had no permanent staff, and traveling Swedish companies performed there.
The Main Stage has 365 seats over two levels, and the Studio has 136. Stiftelsen för Åbo Akademi owns the building, and Åbo Svenska Teaterförening runs it.
